We are all called in the Great Commission to "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matt 28:19-20). Over the past four years Nick and Pam Hackett have immersed themselves in the pursuit of this; not just by doing, but also by seeking revelation as to what it truly means to teach the full gospel and operate in the spiritual gifts. They have passionately sought out the teachings, impartation, and fellowship of teachers, apostles, and prophets across a wide network of ministries including Heidi Baker, Randy Clark, Graham Cook, Jamie Galloway, Bob Hazlett, Lief Hetland, Bill Johnson, Neal Lozano, Dan Mohler, Larry Randolph, Kris Vallotton, Jason Westerfield, Todd White, and others. They visited Israel to learn and see firsthand the reality of events and places in scripture. In obedience to God's word for her, Pam traveled twice to the mission field in India and saw what God can do once we have done all that we can. They consider their ministry to be indistinct from their normal lives, and seek to be a reflection of Christ's love for others in all that they say and do. Their ministry is full time, whether it is leading a house church group, or leading their companies (they are both CEOs of different Inc 5000 businesses); praying for the sick in India, or praying for the waitress when out for their weekly date night dinner. This is the normal Christian life.
As incredible as their journey has been over the past four years, there is nothing special about them. It is not about any person. It is all about God's love for us all. Yet, it takes an army of people to reach and disciple the nations, including our own. Even Jesus only ministered to those he met. What is needed now is for every Christian to have the revelation that the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit is a normal part of Christian life today, and most importantly, that it is not just something reserved for a select few. John 14:12-13 states, "I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father".
Pam has traveled to the nations and seen the amazing fruit of bringing the full gospel to a needy world. The need is insatiable, however, and much more than any one person can satisfy. It has become more and more clear that there needs to be more opportunities to raise up, teach, and equip, not just one or two, but many teachers and ministers of the gospel; many saints. With a trained army, not only can more peoples be reached, but deeper and more supporting discipleship can follow into areas that have already received the Good News.
